SHOW RULES

1.            All ARBA and ACBA show rules will be followed.  By submitting an entry you have indicated that you will abide by our show rules and the rules of the ARBA and ACBA which govern this show.  Once the entry and check have been received by each of the four clubs, it shall become property of the club and the money is non-refundable.

2.        Without exception all entries must be paid for before the show begins.

3.                  Judging will begin promptly at the time indicated on the show notice sent out by the show secretary.

4.         A substitution will be allowed in the same BREED, VARIETY, CLASS and SEX only per ARBA rules.  There will be no charge for substitution.  If there are changes or you need to see the show secretary for any reason, please do so before the show starts.

5.                  All cavies must be permanently ear marked in the left ear or they will be disqualified.

6.                  All cavies must be shown in their natural state, without evidence of dyeing, plucking, trimming, or foreign matter on the coat.  Any faking designed to alter the natural condition or appearance is a disqualification.  Grooming that does not alter the natural state is permitted.

7.                  It is unethical for an exhibitor to make the judge aware of ownership of an entry before it is judged.  Exhibitors attempting to, or actually interfering with, annoying, molesting, or influencing the judge, or acting in a manner unbecoming to exhibitors, shall have all their stock eliminated from the show.

8.                  Any animal showing evidence of illness, or mite or lice infestation, will be eliminated from the show and the owner will be asked to remove the animal from the show area.

9.                  No call-ins will be accepted unless indicated by the show secretary.  All entries must be postmarked no later than the posted date in the show notice.

10.             No one is allowed in the judging area except for show officials and those designated to be in the area.

11.             The CCC, UCBA, GCSCC or PPW or the owner, agent or management of the show facility, or other related organizations WILL NOT BE HELD responsible for any type of theft, accident, or injury to any person, animal or property, (whether owned, borrowed, or rented) due to neglect or any other cause.

12.       The CCC, UCBA, GCSCC or PPW reserve the right to substitute or add judges as needed.

13.       Parents or acting guardians will be responsible for the conduct of their children. Inappropriate behavior, disrespect of animals, property or persons will result in dismissal from the show and forfeiture of all entry fees.  The parents of any child placing 911 calls will be askedto talk to the police and/or firemen who respond to the call and will be responsible for the cost of the emergency call and will result in dismissal from the show and forfeiture of all entry fees and will not be allowed to show with Four Corners in the future.

14.       No smoking or alcohol will be allowed in the building.

15.       ARBA Youth may not enter their cavy in both open and youth classes at the same show, which is sponsored by the same club. Youth may make entries in both open and youth classes with different animals. When more than one ARBA sanctioned all breed or specialty show, not having a youth sanction. Are held in conjunction on the same day, youth exhibitors may enter all additional show with the same animals.16.       ACBA Youth shows receive Youth Sweepstakes points. Effective, July 1, 1989. Youth showing in open shows may have open points transferred to the youth sweepstakes, if a youth sanctioned show was not held in conjunction with and open sanctioned show. Youth can participate in the open sweepstakes, if they choose to, providing the Sweepstakes recorders have been notified. Youth cannot participate in both open and youth.
